45 year-old woman with bilateral mastectomies reconstructed with implants. She presents with severely deforming and uncomfortable contractures, marked thinning of the tissue envelope, and threatened implant erosion.

Totally replacing the implants with her own fat until she became implant free required 3 grafting sessions. We also performed a RAFT to recruit abdominal tissue and better define the natural breast folds.

50 old woman with failed implant reconstruction of her right mastectomy. The implant is severely contracted and she has a significant deficiency of tissue. The reconstruction was saved with a RAFT that brought the necessary skin and a graftable matrix from the abdomen. We replaced her 270 mL implant with a smaller 130 mL implant to make room for additional fat grafting.

Since she had a better soft tissue envelope than the previous patient shown above, we totally replaced the implants with her own fat to make her implant free with only 2 grafting sessions.

We removed the implants and gave her symmetrical and natural DD cup breast mounds. This required successive sessions of BRAVA + AFT and RAFT procedures that advanced the lax abdominal tissue into the breasts. She no longer has an implant and her regenerated breasts are soft, natural, bouncy, and sensate.
